2027 Subject Selection for Year 10 and 11

Dear Year 10 and 11 Students

Today (7 October 2026) in coaching you will be discussing Subject Selection for 2027 with your Coaches.

It is really important that you are in this class to understand the changes that will be coming with the commencement of Alice Springs College next year and how this will affect you with the timetable as well.

Please find attached a copy of Subject Selection guide for more information on subjects that are being put up for offering on this campus next year. There are more subjects on offer at this point than will run, and student selection will determine which ones will run.

Please take time to consider your future plans, and interest areas.

Subject selection should be about personal fit - not what your friends are choosing.

Think wisely about your choices and seek advice where not sure. Please show your coach your selections so they can support you through this process.

We also encourage you discuss this with your Parent/Carers.

You will be given a paper selection form for planning but this needs to be transferred into the online program Web Preferences by Friday this week.

If you change your mind you can go back in and amend your selection.

Please reach out to your coach or Year level co-ordinator if you have any questions.

If you are not planning to be a student at this school next year, please also advise these people.

Kind regards

Jodie Solczaniuk
